Remembering Tim Curry

“Remembering Tim Curry”. A black-and-white photo of Tim Curry as Frank-N-Furter in pearls and heavy eye makeup, with the words “Don’t dream it. Be it.” and the Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble logo. A performer as Frank-N-Furter in a black corset and red cape, beside the words: “Characters like Frank, and the souls who pull them into the mainstream, are so important to those who feel unseen or unvalued. This world is far more beautiful, complex, and stranger than ‘normal’ people would have us believe. Perfomers like Tim Curry, willing to put it all out there, gave a voice and power to those who didn’t know they could belong somewhere. Thank you forever, Tim.” Signed Jared Elton, Frank-N-Furter, Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble’s Rocky Horror Show 2024. Cast members in feathers and sequins mid-number, with the words “Tim Curry gave us courage. He could be anything. He paved the way for many of us.” A tense group scene with a narrator reading from a card over a figure in a wheelchair, beside the words: “Rocky brought me my absolute closest friends. I’ve watched it build safe communities for people dozens of times. Rest easy, Tim.” Signed Ava Spencer, Ensemble / Riff Raff u.s, Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble’s Rocky Horror Show 2024.
